Tunza Foundation is a registered non-profit organization in Tanzania dedicated to advancing environmental sustainability, public health, and community resilience. In Rau Forest, Tunza Foundation mobilized 200 community volunteers across eight cleanup interventions, removing over 2,500 kg of waste and significantly improving sanitation and public health conditions in this critical green space.
The campaign combined environmental awareness sessions with hands-on cleanup, demonstrating how community engagement creates lasting behavior change — a 60% reduction in littering observed in areas with our awareness programs.
